Vigilance has been increased at railway stations for Independence Day.
Intensive checking campaign was conducted by RPF and GRP at railway stations on Independence Day. Bunkers have been deployed outside the stations. Checking was also done in trains. People who looked suspicious were questioned.
High alert has been declared on 15th August. In such a situation, RPF and GRP conducted a checking campaign at Agra Cantt, Agra Fort, Raja Mandi, Idgah station. Checking was done in the platform, parking, circulating area under the leadership of RPF station in-charge Surendra Chaudhary at Cantt station. Passengers were made aware to immediately inform the GRP and RPF on sighting of any suspicious person or object. In the evening, checking was done with dog squad in trains going towards Delhi. The baggage was also checked after questioning the suspicious looking passenger. Along with this, patrolling has also been increased on the track. SP GRP Mohammad Mushtaq said that till August 15, the duty of the soldiers has been imposed at every point. Checking is also being done in trains. Checking is also being done at stations, from platforms, waiting rooms to circulating areas and parking spots.

Parcels not being sent to Delhi
In view of 15th August, booking of parcel going to Delhi has been closed. Parcels will be sent only after 15th August. Right now only mail and newspapers are being sent in parcels. Railways has taken this step from the point of view of safety. Passengers can take their luggage with them in the coach.
