Lucknow crime branch caught three people involved in smuggling and sent to jail.
- The accused were taking all the children to Karnataka
- RPF took action at Lucknow Junction
Three human smugglers carrying 16 minor children from different districts of Uttar Pradesh to Karnataka have been caught by the Lucknow Crime Branch team of RPF. All the children are said to be from Purvanchal and Bihar. During the RPF interrogation, the three accused said that they had left for Jhansi to take these children to Karnataka yesterday. RPF Special Crime Branch Inspector Amit Kumar Rai arrested three people and handed over the child line to all the children. The three accused will be produced in court.
Inspector Crime Branch RPF Lucknow Amit Kumar Rai said that, on the information received from the informer, 3 persons were caught while checking the train number 01804 opening from Lucknow Junction, RPF team.
Three accused caught
In order to illegally take 16 minor children from Solapur (Karnataka) through Jhansi to the three arrested accused, the three have been arrested late night and captured RPF. During the interrogation of RPF, the three caught human smugglers said that they were taking the children through Jhansi for sale in Karnataka for child labor whose salary would be between 5000 to 10,000 rupees.
All children are 12 to 15 years old
All the children were scared by the RPF team and all the minor children who are about 12 to 15 years of age. The RPF team handed over all the children to Child Line Lucknow. The three arrested accused will be produced before the court.
