Ishant Sharma is recovering from an injury at the NCA in Bangalore.
Senior wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, who was included in the squad along with Rishabh Pant for the Test series in Australia, practiced at the nets. He was away from cricket for four weeks due to injury. During the IPL, there was an injury to the groin (between thigh and groin). Ishant Sharma also bowled in front of Chief Selector Sunil Joshi and NCA Chief Rahul Dravid at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore on Wednesday. Sharma was unable to play in the entire tournament for Delhi Capitals due to a hamstring injury during the IPL. He had to be out in the middle. Sharma is in the list of probables for the Test.

Saha has gone to Australia with the team. He is quarantine along with the other players on the team. The first test is in Adelaide from 17 to 21 December. He did not play eliminator and qualifier-2 for his team Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL due to injury. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Saha scored 214 runs in 4 matches at an average of 71.33. He has also scored 2 half-centuries in his innings. In the video posted by the BCCI, he is seen bowling Sri Lankan left arm specialist Nuwan Seneviratne and Indian bowler Dayanand Garani. Earlier, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said that Saha would be fully fit before the first Test. He is recovering from injury under the supervision of Nitin Patel and Nick Webb.
Ishant Sharma bowled for two hours in NCA
Ishant Sharma has bowled two hours at NCA. Chief selector Sunil Joshi and NCA President Rahul Dravid were also present during this period. A BCCI observer told cricket website Crick Info that Sharma looked much better even after a long spell. Ishant was not included in the squad for the tour of Australia due to injury. However, later it was said by the BCCI that if Sharma is fit before the Test, then he can be included in the Test team. At the same time, the report sent by the NCA to the BCCI a few days ago said that Ishant will be fully fit before the first test.
