In Pratapgarh, District Magistrate, District Election Officer Dr. Nitin Bansal gave necessary instructions by holding a meeting with all the sub-district magistrates and other officers to conduct the Assembly General Election-2022 in a fair, safe and peaceful manner at the camp office late last evening. In the meeting, he reviewed the proceedings of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violation, distribution of 12D form, pending case of Form 6,7,8 etc. and directed all SDMs regarding violation of Model Code of Conduct that any public/ Hoardings/banners of any kind of publicity on government buildings should be removed immediately.

Instructions given for distribution of Kovid kit

He directed all the sub-divisional magistrates in the meeting that in case of any complaint, strict action would be taken against the concerned officer. He reviewed the status of 12D forms, Divyang, voters above 80 years of age and distribution of Kovid kits in all the Legislative Assemblies and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officers.

The District Election Officer expected all the Deputy District Magistrates to make all these apps online, such as Suvidha App, C-Vigil App, PWD App for Divyang Voters, Voter Helpline App etc. Take and get any knowledgeable computer staff appointed so that the work being done in the election can be put to better use. During this, the District Election Officer, while reviewing the deposit of arms so far, directed all the Deputy District Magistrates to hold a meeting with all the station heads before him and take action to deposit arms, he said that all the Deputy District Magistrates should study the RO handbook. To ensure compliance with the instructions given by the commission, he directed to take action under Section 144 Epidemic Act in case of MCC violation.

Better availability and distribution of fertilizers

Instructions were given to monitor the availability and distribution of fertilizers. Along with this, instructions have been given to ensure that food grains are distributed to all the Kotedars by January 17, 2022. The District Election Officer directed to organize programs related to voter awareness. He said that there are 264 such identified booths, where the voting percentage is less than the norm, special efforts should be made on these booths so that the voting percentage can be increased. He said that after inspecting the low-voting booths in their respective assemblies, if there is any problem, then get it resolved. He said that a grand program would be organized on the occasion of National Voters’ Day on January 25, 2022, all the Deputy District Magistrates directed to honor the BLOs who have done excellent work in their respective assemblies on Voters’ Day. In voter awareness program, cooperation of all the members of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Yuvak/Mahila Mangal Dal, National Service Scheme NCC should be taken. Chief Revenue Officer Inder Bhushan Verma, Additional District Officer (V/R) Sunil Kumar Shukla, District School Inspector and all the Deputy District Magistrates and other officers were present in the meeting.
