Appeal to get medicine for children up to 5 years
The ICDS department has been asked to provide medicines to the children in the age group of three to five years of Anganwadi centres. Whereas mothers of children below the age of three years should be motivated and given medicine. People associated with Revenue Department, Supplies Department, Panchayati Raj Department and Municipal bodies have been asked to motivate the denial families to get their children polio medicine.
Booster dose is also given at 16 to 24 months of age
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Naresh Agrawal informed that polio vaccine is also included in the routine vaccination program. Pulse polio drops are given at the time of birth.
