The strike to be held by the Uttar Pradesh Safai Mazdoor Sangh on Wednesday regarding three points was postponed on the assurance of the Municipal Commissioner. On Wednesday morning, hundreds of cleaning workers stopped working in the Municipal Corporation premises and gathered. Municipal Commissioner Vishal Singh reached the Municipal Corporation in the morning itself to convince the sanitation workers who had come for the strike. He talked to the leaders of the organization. Provincial General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Safai Mazdoor Sangh, Prem Prakash Srivastava said that outsourced work was the three main demand of the sanitation workers, for which they were agitating. The first is to provide uniforms to the outsourced employees who have not received them. Secondly, outsourced Safai Mitras work for 30 days but they are paid only for 26 days. The third demand was that overtime should be given if work is taken beyond seven hours.
