Bollywood powerhouse Sanjay Dutt gave a shoutout to Raanti, an upcoming Marathi action-drama that’s already building momentum. Starring Sharad Kelkar in what appears to be a high-octane drama, Raanti was termed “the most powerful Marathi film” by Dutt, setting high expectations for its November 22 release. Sharad Kelkar and Sanjay Dutt have previously worked together in the 2017 film Bhoomi.

Sharing the teaser of the film, Sanjay Dutt wrote today, October 26, “Presenting the Official Teaser of RAANTI THE MOST POWERFUL MARATHI FILM OF THE DECADE! Directed by Samit Kakkad Produced by Punit Balan Starring Sharad Kelkar, Releasing 22nd November.”

Raanti invites viewers into the fictional town of Patalpur, where survival is anything but straightforward. The teaser wastes no time in introducing this harsh, violent setting where the only rule is a stark choice: ‘killing or getting killed.’ Kelkar’s character appears to be a man with a troubled past, finding himself entrenched in this hostile world where wielding a weapon is not just a means of defense but a way of life.

One of the teaser’s most gripping moments comes when Kelkar, playing the role of Raanti, delivers a chilling line in Marathi which is translated to English as “The breeze is calm. Not the storm. I am a hurricane. I have taken this avatar solely to seek revenge.” Sharad Kelkar looks powerful as he captures Raanti’s struggle, pain and hunger for retribution, diving headfirst into the riveting action sequences.

Sharad Kelkar is known for his movies and shows in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi industries. Joining Kelkar in Raanti are actors Sanjay Narvekar, Santosh Juvekar and Shanvi Srivastava. While the teaser gives glimpses of their roles, further details about the storyline are being kept under wraps.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt himself has an exciting project on the horizon. He will be gracing the screen in KD – The Devil, a Kannada-language pan-India film that’s drawing from real-life events in Bangalore during the 1970s. Directed by Prem and produced by KVN Productions, KD – The Devil stars Dhruva Sarja, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and V Ravichandran, alongside Dutt.
