Former Hathras MP Sarika Singh Baghel did not like the political ground of Etawah. This time she contested the election from her native Etawah on a BSP ticket, but had to be content with the third position. Anyway, BSP has not opened its account in the Lok Sabha elections.

It is noteworthy that in 2009, Sarika Singh Baghel, a resident of Naval Nagar, contested the Hathras elections from the BJP-Rashtriya Lok Dal alliance and won. After this, she joined the SP and claimed a ticket from Agra. In 2014, her ticket from Agra was finalized by the SP, but at the last moment, her ticket was cancelled.
After this, before the 2019 elections, she joined the BJP and claimed a ticket from the BJP, but she did not get a ticket from the BJP. After this, recently both Sarika Singh and her husband Devendra Singh joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal. Her claim from the Rashtriya Lok Dal was considered certain. But at the last moment, the Rashtriya Lok Dal reached an agreement with the BJP and the Hathras seat went to the BJP’s account. In such a situation, Sarika Singh contacted the BSP leaders.

Sarika Singh’s maternal home is in Etawah. This time Sarika Singh got a ticket from BSP from Etawah Lok Sabha constituency but she did not win. She had to be satisfied with the third place from Etawah. Sarika Singh got 96541 votes from Etawah. Jitendra Dohre of SP won from there.
