But now the makers have removed the bold scenes of Allu-Rashmika on the demand of the fans to avoid controversy. In a scene in the film, Allu was seen touching Rashmika’s chest, but it has been deleted after the fans objected. Love Aaj Kal

At the beginning of the film Love Aaj Kal, released in the year 2020, a long kissing scene of Sara Ali Khan and Karthik Aryan was going to be shown. When the censors caught sight of this scene, they used scissors on them. Apart from this, some intimate scenes were also deleted from the film.

The actor’s nude scene was about to be shown in Rajkummar Rao’s film Ormetta, although this scene was edited as soon as the censors noticed.

Even from Kiara Advani starrer Indu Ki Jawani, she had scissors on many scenes with objectionable and double meaning dialogues.

Gully Boy

A kissing scene of Alia-Ranveer and some objectionable words were removed from Gully Boy.

Not one or two but 48 scenes were removed from Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz. The reason for cutting these scenes was hate speech and controversial issues.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha

The censor board had removed 8 scenes from Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The reason for removing them was the double meaning dialogue of the film and some objectionable words. Janeu was also presented in a wrong way in the film, which was objected to by the censor board.

Chowranga

Five scenes were deleted from the film Chowranga, which was released in 2014, including three love making scenes, one with abuse and the scene of a Dalit teenager being thrown into the well. The film is based on a true incident that happened in Jharkhand in 2008.

The Family Man 2

Many love making scenes of Samantha Ruthprabhu and Shahab Ali were deleted from the series The Family Man 2 released this year. These scenes were edited in the editing before the censors noticed.

Zeeshan Ayyub plays the role of Shivaji during a play in the series, where he is seen abusing. Udta Punjab

The issue of increasing drug abuse in Punjab was shown in the movie Udta Punjab. Seeing the image of Punjab getting spoiled, the people of the state had come out in protest. The film was later given an A certificate by the Censor Board after 94 cuts and 13 corrections.

Padmavat

As soon as the trailer of the film was released, the Karni Sena protested across the country to ban the film’s release. People alleged that many facts have been misrepresented in the film and at the same time an attempt was made to show the Rajput community wrong. The film, which was slated to release on 1 December 2017, was shelved due to lack of documentation following the controversy. Later, the film was released on 25 January 2018 after changing some scenes and title.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ramleela

The title of the film was earlier kept as Ramleela, but people of the Hindu community objected to Ramlila being compared to Love Story. Many people demanded a ban on the film’s release, accusing the film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali of hurting the sentiments of Hindus. Along with this, the people of the Kshatriya community had also expressed their displeasure for showing the wrong image of the cast members in the film. As the controversy escalated, the name of the community shown in the film was changed to Razadi and Saneena.

In the film, Paresh Rawal played the character of Hindu man Dharampal who in middle age learns that his biological parents were Hindu. The people of the Sikh community had objected to Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer film Son of Sardar. There were allegations against the makers that they have shown the Sikh people bad. All India Sikh Student Federation sent a letter to Akal Takht to take action against Ajay Devgan. The dialogue of the film- ‘If there were no Sardars, then on whom would the jokes be made’, was also in a lot of controversies. Later these dialogues were also removed from the film.
