Uttar Pradesh Secondary Teachers’ Association has decided to stage a sit-in protest at the DIOS office from July 16. The teacher leaders are protesting against the DIOS order in which they have been ordered to teach in schools for the disabled. The teacher union said that the DIOS is arbitrary.

Regional Vice President and Spokesperson of the organization Dr. RP Mishra and Regional Minister Dr. RK Trivedi said that under the Secondary Education Act and the rules made thereunder, the DIOS does not have the authority to affiliate or accommodate any teacher of any aided secondary school in any government school.
DIOS misbehaves
District President Anil Sharma and District Minister Mahesh Chandra said that when the DIOS visits schools for inspection etc., he misbehaves with the teachers and principals. In this regard, it was decided that if such a complaint is received in the future, the office bearers of the district organization will collectively misbehave with the DIOS in the same manner.
State-wide protest on July 25
It was decided in the meeting that under the state-wide struggle, to make the dharna at the DIOS office on July 25, 2024 successful, the teams of the district organization will visit various schools and make the teachers aware.

Apart from this, decisions were taken in the meeting to provide Form-16 free of cost, deposit the outstanding amount of NPS in the teachers’ account, submit the membership of all the units by July 31, 2024, teachers should provide the problems in writing to the district officials by July 20, so that they can be included in the memorandum on July 25 and sent to the education officers, etc.
