Deependra Shukla, son of Ram Prakash Shukla, resident of Gandhi Nagar Pony Road, Shuklaganj, has 50 bighas of land in Sukhlal Kheda village. On Monday, he was getting a tractor run on his land, when Monu Yadav, son of Anil Kumar, resident of Sukhlal Kheda, reached the spot. Here he alleges that Deependra got the tractor run on three bighas of his land. When he protested, people from Deependra’s side started abusing him. In a short while, both sides took out sticks and a fierce fight broke out.

When the police arrived, the accused left the bike at the spot and ran away.

It is alleged that Dipendra called three to four dozen rowdy people. They arrived here on bikes and fired about ten to twelve rounds one after the other. Firing in broad daylight spread panic in the village. The villagers informed the Gangaghat Kotwali police about this. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. The villagers also chased the people who were firing. Seeing the villagers coming, the youths who were firing left their bikes and fled from the spot.

The villagers allege that the members of the Kobara gang are carrying out such incidents along with fighting every day, but the Gangaghat police is unable to take any action against them.
