An incident related to Shahrukh Khan and Kajol starrer film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' has come to light. Shahrukh is seen wearing a leather jacket in this film. That jacket was very much in trend since the release of the film. Let us tell you that it was not decided in advance to make Shahrukh wear that jacket. That jacket was not even designed for the film.

Actually, that jacket belonged to Uday Chopra, younger brother of filmmaker Aditya Chopra. Uday Chopra was assisting his elder brother in direction at that time.

The interesting thing is that Shahrukh wore that jacket during the shooting because he felt cold. Now the director liked this jacket on him so much that the famous song of the film 'Zara Sa Jhoom Lu Main' was shot in this jacket. Shahrukh is seen wearing the same jacket in this song.

The price of the jacket was 400 dollars

Uday Chopra bought this jacket for $400 from the Harley Davidson showroom in Bakersfield, California. According to Indian currency, 400 dollars means 33000. This was a pure leather jacket which is in trend even today.

Making became the first film to produce

This was the first film in Indian cinema history which also produced its own making. Technically since then it is known as 'Behind the Scene'. Aditya Chopra's younger brother Uday Chopra was his assistant in the film who got the responsibility of recording the making. Uday became the videographer and recorded the behind-the-scene footage. Later it was used in the promotion of the film.

Kiran Kher gave the title

The title of the film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' was suggested by Kirron Kher. Aditya Chopra himself has mentioned this in the book 'Aditya Chopra Relives…Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' published by Yash Raj Films.

He had said, “Kiran ji got this idea after listening to the songs Le Jayenge…Le Jayenge…Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge from the 1974 film 'Chor Machaye Shor'. When I heard this idea from him, I liked it very much and this title was finalized.

The film's famous 'Palat scene' filmed on Shahrukh Khan was inspired by a scene from Clint Eastwood's 1993 American film 'In the Line of Fire'.

The film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge won 10 Filmfare Awards.

The film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was released on 20 October 1995. The film was directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Johar. Artists like Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Anupam Kher, Amrish Puri were in lead roles in the film. The film has also won 10 Filmfare Awards.
