In Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, 40 people, including Samajwadi Party MLA Nahid Hasan and his mother former MP Tabassum Hasan, were tried under the Gangster Act. The leader of the gang is MLA Nahid. He has about 12 cases registered. Police say that this gang has fear and terror in the society. Nobody has the courage to write a report or testify against them. This case has been registered after approval of DM.

Kotwal filed a case

This action has been taken on the Tahrir of Kairana Kotwali in-charge Premvir Singh Rana. He has been booked under the Uttar Pradesh Gang-Off Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act. Apart from Naheed Hassan and Tabassum, a case has been registered under the Gangster Act against 40 people including Mahmud, Arshad, Naushad, Irrfan, Qayyum, Arif, Farman, Sabir, Raja alias Taseem, Monis, Inam.

Currently SP MLA Nahid Hasan is seen in mahapanchayats against agricultural laws. Last year, he made a new statement in the Muslim-Jat politics of Western UP by making a controversial statement. He had released a video saying that he should stop buying goods from Jat shops. He gave a message to remain united with the Muslims and to increase the Muslim traders only.
