Anupam Mittal and Aman Gupta have been a part of Shark Tank India ever since its first season.
Anupam Mittal seemingly got irked after pitchers choose Aman Gupta’s offer over other sharks.
In the recent episode of Shark Tank India season three, Anupam Mittal was seen taking a dig at his co-shark, Aman Gupta. It all started after pitchers named Hitarth Parikh, Chahil Patel and Harsheet Maliwal explained to sharks their sports analytic products. They give a demo of their products and then ask for Rs 10 lakh for 1 per cent equity.
Impressed with the pitch and the product, Aman Gupta matched the offer. Vineeta Singh also offered Rs 50 lakh for 5 per cent equity. On the other hand, Namita Thapar doubled the valuation and offered Rs 20 lakh for 1 per cent. Anupam Mitta then offered Rs 1 crore for 5 per cent equity. Following this, Aman Gupta revised his offer to Rs 25 lakh for 1 per cent. Namita repeatedly reminded the pitchers that she was the one who doubled the valuation of their company.
However, after discussion, pitchers choose Aman Gupta’s offer over other sharks. This left Namita upset who then said, “I doubled your valuation and you chose him.” Anupam Mittal also took a dig at Aman Gupta and added, “Acchi khaasi deal aayi thi, sharks ne apne pairon pe kulhadi maar di. Tumhe 1cr mil raha tha, kya leke jaa rahe ho. Woh kabhi gym ke andar hi nahi gaya hai.” However, Aman joked, “I will go to the gym from tomorrow.”
Shark Tank India returned with season three on January 22, 2024. Several familiar sharks from the previous seasons including Namita Thapar, Executive Director at Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, Aman Gupta, Co-founder of Boat, Peyush Bansal, Co-Founder and CEO of Lenskart, Anupam Mittal, Founder and Director of Shaadi.com and Vineeta Singh, CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, returned for Shark Tank India Season 3.
