Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again continues its box office dominance, captivating audiences during the Diwali weekend and surging past Rs 130 crore in just four days. The latest addition to Shetty’s cop universe, Singham Again unites Bollywood heavyweights like Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Akshay Kumar. Despite stiff competition from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, this action-packed drama has emerged as the clear frontrunner.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Singham Again collected Rs 17.5 crore on its first Monday. Although slightly lower than its weekend collections, this performance is impressive given the usual Monday dip in ticket sales. The film’s earnings have been robust since its release, raking in Rs 43.5 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 42.5 crore on day two, and Rs 35.75 crore on Sunday. The total collection now stands at an impressive Rs 137.99 crore as of Monday evening.
On Monday, the film saw a 29.64 percent Hindi occupancy in theatres, reflecting its steady popularity among fans eager to catch Shetty’s thrilling cop saga on the big screen. This installment marks a major milestone in Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe, joining the ranks of Simmba and Sooryavanshi and featuring a special cameo by Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey, the beloved character from Dabangg.
A review by News18 Showsha praised the film, saying, “Rohit deserves credit for his grand vision and ambitious casting. Singham Again is a mainstream, masala entertainer with all the filmmaker’s signature touches. Notably, the introduction of a female cop in Shetty’s male-dominated universe brings a refreshing change, paving the way for an exciting new storyline in the franchise.”
The film is packed with fan-pleasing moments, especially scenes that unite iconic characters Singham, Sooryavanshi, Simmba, Shaktia, and Satya as they team up to take down the villain, Danger Lanka. Arjun Kapoor, playing the menacing antagonist, has also received rave reviews. Kapoor shines as the dark and sinister Danger Lanka, leaving a lasting impression with his chilling performance.
Singham Again shows no signs of slowing down, and with a solid start to the week, it looks set to cross more milestones as fans continue to flock to theatres.
