After Snoop Dogg’s cryptic social media post about giving up smoke goes viral, fans come out in support.

Snoop Dogg sent out a cryptic announcement his official social media handles saying that he is “giving up smoke.” If this means that Snoop is actually kicking his infamous weed habit, or if he’s alluding to something else, remains unclear as of now. “After much consideration and conversation with my family,” Snoop begins his short statement, “I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time,” his post on Instagram read. The message was conveyed on top of Snoop’s picture where he can be seen folding his hands.

Since being uploaded, the post went viral immediately and garnered tons of reactions. This came as a shock to many of his fans. “1 year 4 months for me and it was the best decision I ever made in my entire life to stop smoking. Also the hardest. Some just won’t understand… it’s not until you completely eliminate it from your life that you realize how much better off you are without it,” commented an Instagram user. Multiple fans came out in support of the American rapper. Another person wrote, “I respect his decision so much, but this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen I’m gonna remember this forever.”

“We’ve got large non smoking suites and all the privacy you could want,” commented another person.

Snoop has previously opened up about smoking 81 blunts each day. He revealed to Jimmy Kimmel in January that he tried to quit weed 20 years ago, but it did not take. In March, he claimed that he would cut down on his THC intake.

“Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,” Snoop told the outlet. “The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with, because I want to see my grandkids grow old. The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking? … I just don’t want to do this to my body anymore. I want to survive,” he said.
