Spain has reached the semi-finals of the Euro Cup after 12 years. It defeated France 2-1 in the first semi-final played at the Allianz Arena in Berlin, Germany on Tuesday.

Now in the final, it will face the winner of the other semi-final between England and Netherlands on Sunday. Spain had earlier reached the final in 2012 by defeating Italy.

The heroes of Spain’s victory were 16-year-old Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo. Both scored 1-1 goals for the team. France took the lead by scoring a goal in the first 10 minutes of the match, but after 15 minutes Spain scored the first goal to equalize the score and then went ahead after 4 minutes.

France scored within 10 minutes
All three goals were scored by both teams in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute of the match, France captain Kylian Mbappe tried to score a goal, but before he could reach the goal post, Jesus Navas took the ball away from him.

Just two minutes later, Mbappe had the ball and without any delay he passed it to his teammate and Kolo Muani without making any mistake headed the ball into the goal post and put the team ahead 1-0.

The happiness of the French team and its fans did not last long, just 15 minutes later Spain equalized the score. In the 21st minute of the match, 16-year-old Lamine Yamal scored a goal and equalized the score to 1-1. Just 4 minutes later, i.e. in the 25th minute, Dani Olmo scored a goal and put the team ahead 2-1.

France failed to equalise in the second half
The morale of the Spanish players, who were leading 2-1 in the first half, remained intact in the second half. The Spanish team dominated the French defense.

However, in the 60th minute of the match, France’s Ousmane Dembele tried to equalize the score by hitting a cross shot, but his attempt was thwarted by Spain’s goalkeeper Unai Simon. Spain’s lead remained intact till the end and they won the match 2-1.
