In order to speed up the pace of making Ayushman card, the District Magistrate gave instructions in the meeting
The District Magistrate reviewed the special campaign being run for making Ayushman card in Deoria. He gave necessary guidelines for making Ayushman card of every eligible person by establishing inter-departmental coordination. The District Magistrate said that a special campaign is being conducted to make Ayushman cards by September 30. Every eligible person can get his Ayushman card made by contacting Tehsil Headquarters, Block Headquarters and Community Health Center.
Ayushman card has been made for only 28% people
District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh said that only 28% of the eligible people in the district have got the Ayushman card. Special efforts need to be made to make available the benefits of this scheme to the remaining people in a time bound manner. He emphasized on the mobilization of eligible persons through Anganwadi workers.
Antyodaya card holders will be able to get Ayushman card made at ration shops
The District Magistrate said that the Ayushman card will be made for the Antyodaya card holders at the government ration shops. Through the special control room set up in the District Panchayati Raj Office, the eligible persons are being encouraged to get Ayushman cards made by contacting them.
Ayushman card gives health insurance up to 5 lakhs
The District Magistrate said that through Ayushman card, health coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh is given to the needy and poor people in all government and designated private hospitals. Ayushman card holder can get free treatment for serious diseases like heart disease, kidney disease, knee transplant, cancer, cataract and surgery etc. About 20 thousand beneficiaries of the district have got their treatment done under the Ayushman card scheme. 33 private and government hospitals in the district are covered by this scheme. The diseases listed here are treated free of cost. The District Magistrate requested all the eligible persons to take advantage of this welfare scheme and keep their family safe in the security cover of Ayushman.
