Varun Dhawan next is with Sreeleela?
The movie is reportedly going on floors by Mid-July and is gearing up for a theatrical release on October 2, 2025.
Varun Dhawan is currently a very busy actor. He has many films lined up in his kitty including his OTT debut. Well, amid this a report is coming in that Varun will be soon seen in his father David Dhawan’s next directorial. It is reported to be a comedy drama and Sreeleela will be seen as the lead actress. She is all set to make her Bollywood debut.
Pinkvilla has reported a source saying, “Much like all David Dhawan comedies, this one is also a love triangle where the humour is a result of confusion in leading man’s life. The team has roped in Sreeleela to play Varun’s love interest in the film. It’s a pakka-commercial entertainer and Sreeleela also feels that this would be the perfect launch pad for her in Hindi markets.”
“Varun will be romancing both Mrunal and Sreeleela in the film. It’s a fun entertainer, on the lines of cinema that David Dhawan is known for. Varun also returns to his home turf. The makers have gone all out to pull off a fresh-casting coup bringing in Mrunal and Sreeleela on board alongside Varun,” the source added.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan will also be seen in Citadel with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Raj and DK, Citadel is the Indian adaptation of the International series of the same name which was created by the director duo, the Russo Brothers. According to strong reports, the actress is performing high-octane action sequences in the film along with Varun Dhawan.
Varun will also be seen in John Baby. The film marks the Hindi film debut of Keerthy Suresh. The electrifying star cast also includes Jacky Shroff and Rajpal Yadav in the action entertainer. Baby John is an S. Thaman musical. Besides Atlee, the film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande. The project is also presented by Jio Studios in association with A for Apple Studios and Cine1 Studios.
He has recently started shooting for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Taking to his Instagram stories, Varun shared a photo featuring a clapboard with Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari written on it. He tagged many people including Janhvi. The Roohi actress also shared the same on her stories with Junglee song being played in the background. Earlier, reports were rife that the beloved ‘VARIA’ aka Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are not returning for Dulhania 3. Varun and Alia were seen in the blockbuster films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania by Shashank Khaitan. However, it was said that Alia will not be returning to the franchise and Janhvi Kapoor was to fill her shoes in the third film.
