Students angry at failing in the back paper gheraoed the university office.

Students who failed in the back exams of B.Ed, LLB and BA LLB of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University (RMPSU) created a ruckus in the campus office of the university. They raised slogans in the name of the Vice Chancellor and demanded to clarify the exam results.

Seeing the violent protest of the students, a large number of Civil Lines police station forces also reached the spot and tried to convince the students by talking to them. After this, the Registrar assured the students that he will soon resolve this issue by holding a meeting with the examination committee and the students will be given relief. After this, the students calmed down and stopped protesting.

Students from more than half a dozen colleges arrived

Hundreds of students reached the office of RMPSU located in Dodpur on Friday. These students were from various private colleges of the city including DM College, Shrivarshney College, who failed in the back exams of B.Ed, BA LLB and LLB by one or two marks. They started protesting by getting down in the waterlogging and mud inside the campus.

They raised slogans with placards and banners in their hands. Everyone said that the university is deliberately playing with the future of the students. Seeing the uproar of the students, Registrar Ajay Krishna Acharya and Assistant Registrar Kailash Bind arrived. They talked to the students and after a lot of persuasion, they calmed them down and the students’ protest could be ended.

Students got angry again for written assurance

The Registrar and Asst. Registrar left after assuring the students, but did not give any written assurance. After which the students got agitated again and tried to go inside. But the security personnel and police closed the gate, on which the students started breaking the lock.

On which the police stopped the students. During this, a girl student fainted, who was immediately taken to the hospital. The students said that they have passed the fourth semester examination, but the mark sheet says ‘Promoted’, so they are not getting admission in the fifth semester. Due to this, their future is in limbo. However, they have been assured of action soon.
