22 jawans were killed, 32 injured and 1 was missing in a deadly Maoist encounter in Chhattisgarh. Sources say around 25-30 Naxals were also killed though the exact number is yet to be ascertained. Air Force choppers were used to retrieve the bodies of the slain jawans. Union home minister Amit Shah said a befitting reply will be given to the Maoist attack. Director-General of CRPF Kuldiep Singh on Sunday said that there was absolutely no intelligence or operational failure in the operation.
