Sumit defeated Switzerland’s Alexander Ritschard in three sets 6-1, 6(5)-7(7), 6-3.

India’s number-1 tennis player Sumit Nagal won the men’s singles title at the Heilbronn Neckarcup 2024 ATP Challenger tennis tournament in Germany on Sunday. The Indian tennis player, ranked 95th in the world rankings of men’s singles, defeated world number 184 player Alexander Ritschard of Switzerland 6-1, 6(5)-7(7), 6-3 in three sets in the final that lasted two hours and 22 minutes.

This is Nagal’s sixth ATP Challenger win of his career. It is his second title win of the year after winning the Chennai Open title on home soil earlier this year.

Sumit won the Chennai Open in February this year and entered the top 100 in the ATP rankings. The Chennai Open is also a part of the Challenger Tour.
