Sunil Grover took to her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle on Tuesday afternoon to send birthday wishes to Kapil Sharma. This is for the first time in six years that Sunil sent birthday wishes to Kapil on social media. The two had an ugly fight in 2018 following which they were not on talking terms.

Sunil Grover dropped a photo with Kapil Sharma on his X handle and wished him “health, happiness and joy” on his birthday. “Happy Birthday @KapilSharmaK9 pah ji. Sunil Grover recently reunited with Kapil Sharma for the latter’s The Great Indian Kapil Show. The show premiered on March 30th and marked Sunil and Kapil’s reunion after six years. Besides the two, it also stars Kiku Sharda and Archana Puran Singh in key roles.

Grover became a household name with his fictional characters Gutthi and Dr Mashoor Gulati in Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show respectively. However, he had an ugly fight with Kapil in 2018 while they were returning from a show in Australia. They got into a heated argument following which Sunil stopped working with Kapil.

Last month, Sunil opened up about his fight with Kapil and joked that it was “a publicity stunt” they did for Netflix long before the streaming giant set foot in India. “We were seated on the flight and we learnt that Netflix was coming to India. So, kuch aisa ho ke (acha) publicity stunt ho,” Sunil said, poking fun at his and Kapil’s fight. Sunil even joked that Netflix India had called them to ask what could be done and thus, this idea came to them.
