Pankaj and I spend more time together: Supriya Pathak
Balancing the question of how she spends time with her grandchildren Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor between shoots, Supriya Pathak says, ‘See, I have a lot of time. I don’t work like crazy at all. I agree to only those projects in which I get satisfaction as an artist. As far as personal life is concerned, I feel that my family has now grown up enough to take care of themselves. Now he has his own family, children and home, which he is very busy taking care of. So, I am not an integral part of their lives. Pankaj and I spend more time with each other and we are happy with that. Whenever we get a chance, we like to spend time with each other and the same children have now grown up and I have fulfilled my responsibilities (smiling)’
‘Gangster Gangu’ is the story of the relationship between grandmother and grandson.
Regarding the short film ‘Gangster Gangu’, Supriya Pathak says, ‘Its story revolves around the relationship between a grandmother and grandson. A child’s relationship with grandparents is very different in his childhood and it changes a lot over time. Through this film, we are trying to show how you can reconnect with your grandparents. Hansa is still an important part of me
Supriya Pathak gained maximum headlines in the role of Hansa Parekh in the popular sitcom ‘Khichdi’. According to the actress, playing this comic character in the show was the most challenging. Regarding this she says, ‘In the beginning, playing Hansa was not easy, it was quite challenging. After making many efforts, I was successful in taking this character forward. After a long time, it became easy for me to play this character. Hansa may look simple on screen but she is more complex than that. These characters are not as easy as they appear. In real life, I am not like Hansa but yes, I would definitely like to be carefree like her. Almost 20 years have passed since this show, yet Hansa is still an important part of me. Let us tell you, the movie version of this famous sitcom came in the year 2010 and now the makers will bring its sequel by the end of this year.
