Suspended DIG Arvind Sen, trapped in a multi-crore rupee tender scam in Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry Department, has filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court. Which will be heard today. Suspended DIGs are absconding to avoid arrest.
Justice Vivek listed for hearing today
The bench of Justice Vivek Chaudhary on Tuesday directed to hold the next hearing on Wednesday after hearing his petition. Petition advocate Santosh Kumar Yadav ‘Warsi’ said that during the hearing of the petition on Tuesday, advocate Manjit Bhatia alias Rinku also appeared on behalf of the complainant. Whereas the government lawyer also demanded time to get directions in the case. On which the court ordered the matter to be listed again on Wednesday.
Arvind Sen accused of threatening the victim
The tender scam was revealed in June. On June 13, Indore-based businessman Manjit Singh Bhatia alias Rinku lodged an FIR at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. In this case 10 accused were named. The accused are accused of cheating Rs 9 crore 72 lakh 12 thousand in the name of providing contracts for supply of wheat, flour, sugar and pulses etc. under pseudonymous documents and pseudonym. Arvind Sen is accused of intimidating, threatening, and signing a plain paper to the victim as a SP in CBCID. In return, the thugs gave him big bucks. When the matter was investigated, the allegations were found correct. After which he was suspended. Now the police is searching for him for his arrest.
