Food department team raided in Ballia.

To prevent adulteration of food items on Diwali festival in Ballia, Food Safety and Drugs Department conducted raids in Ballia city, Haldi and Bairia. During this eight samples were collected, which have been sent for testing.

On Monday, the team led by Chief Food Safety Officer Dinesh Kumar Rai raided a grocery shop located in Bhrigu Ashram of Ballia city, cashew nuts, gram flour, haldi, gulab jamun, khoya, chenna ki sweets and three shops from Bairia. Took three samples of Tikri and Paneer. In this way a total of eight samples were taken. All the samples were sent for testing.

The team formed for the festival
Assistant Commissioner of Medicine Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra informed that in view of Diwali festival, a raiding team has been formed. This team will reach different areas from time to time and collect samples of suspicious food items, which will be sent for examination. Action will be taken after the report is received. He said that before buying any food item, check its quality thoroughly. The team included Food Safety Officer Narendra Kumar, Om Prakash, Santosh Kumar, Prem Kumar Yadav and Assistant Dayashankar.
