Taliban brutally killed Pulitzer-winning Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui. A US-based magazine has reported that Danish didn’t just die during crossfire, he was ‘hunted down and brutally murdered by the Taliban in Afghanistan. According to a report published in the Washington Examiner, Siddiqui was captured alive by the Taliban and was executed in cold blood along with those who were with him. ‘The [Afghan] commander and the remainder of his team died as they tried to rescue him,’ the report said. Citing local authorities, the report revealed that Siddiqui was travelling with an Afghan National Army team to the Spin Boldak region to cover fighting between Afghan forces and the Taliban to control the lucrative border crossing with Pakistan.
