Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's film 'Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' has collected Rs 26 crore 85 lakh on the first weekend. After earning Rs 6 crore 70 lakh on the first day and Rs 9 crore 65 lakh on the second day, the film collected Rs 10 crore 50 lakh on the third day on Sunday.
Shahid's 7th highest grossing film in the first weekend
With this, this film has become the 7th highest grossing film of Shahid's career in the first weekend. Shahid Kapoor's film 'Padmavat' has the highest collection in the first weekend. At the same time, his biggest superhit film 'Kabir Singh' as a solo hero is at second place in this list.
Only 44 shows in Chennai yet occupancy is 71.75%
The Hindi occupancy of this film was 24.65% on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, the Hindi occupancy of the film was 22.16%. The surprising thing was that despite being a Bollywood film, this film is performing better in South rather than North India.
Only 44 shows of the film (least) have been organized in Chennai but 71.75% occupancy is being seen there. Whereas in Delhi, despite having 1148 shows (highest), the total occupancy there remained only 22.25%.
The film has earned 32 crores worldwide
This film is also earning well overseas. It has collected Rs 32 crore 50 lakh worldwide in 3 days. Earlier on Saturday, the film's production house Maddock Films had shared a post giving information about the two-day world wide collection of the film. It had collected 20 crores worldwide in two days.
Apart from Shahid and Kriti, actors like Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia and Rakesh Bedi are also seen in the film 'Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'.
On Saturday, the makers had given the update of the two-day world wide collection of the film.
'Lal Salaam' could not touch double digits in three days
Rajinikanth starrer 'Lal Salaam', released in South, could not reach double digits on the first weekend. After earning Rs 3 crore 55 lakh on the opening day and Rs 3 crore 25 lakh on the second day, the film was able to earn only Rs 3 crore on the third day. Its total collection has become Rs 9 crore 79 lakh. This film has been directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya. He has returned to direction after 9 years.
'Eagle' earned Rs 15.90 crore in first weekend
Whereas Ravi Teja starrer 'Eagle' has left 'Lal Salaam' behind in terms of box office collection. The film has done a business of approximately Rs 16 crore in three days.
