The Indian team is currently playing a four-day practice match against the English county Listershire, ahead of the Test match against England starting on July 1. Batting after winning the toss on the first day, Team India scored 246 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Young wicket-keeper batsman KS Bharat has scored the highest unbeaten 70 runs. Mohammed Shami (18 runs) is also unbeaten with him.
Star players like captain Rohit Sharma (25 runs), former captain Virat Kohli (33 runs), Hanuma Vihari (3 runs), Shreyas Iyer (0) and Ravindra Jadeja (13 runs) could not show much. For Listershire, fast bowler Roman Walker took five wickets for just 24 runs.

He gave the wicket to Walker after scoring three fours in 47 balls.
Hanuma Vihari, who came to bat at number-3, became the second victim of Walker by scoring 3 runs. Shreyas Iyer, who was in search of form from IPL itself, could not even open the account. He was dismissed by the famous Krishna. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also could not do much. He was dismissed LBW off Walker for 13 runs.
Bharat handled the innings with the tail batsmen
After losing five wickets for 81 runs, the Indian team was in danger of being all out for 125-150 runs. From here, KS Bharat batted well and took the team to a respectable score. He added 64 runs in the eighth wicket partnership with Umesh Yadav (23 runs). Davis took his wicket. Before him, Shardul Thakur was dismissed after scoring 6 runs. Bharat and Mohammed Shami (18 runs) have added 32 not out for the ninth wicket so far.
Lister’s team also has four Indian players
Four Indian players have also been given a place in Lister’s team so that more and more players of Team India can get practice of England’s condition. These include fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and famous Krishna, besides batsman Cheteshwar Pujara and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. The famous Krishna took a wicket (Shreyas Iyer) in the first day’s play.
