The academic council of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University said that the professor will have the right to award internal marks keeping in view the discipline, academics, seminars and attendance of the students.
Students of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya will now get marks in credits in examinations. Instead of marks in their mark sheet, number will be given in credits. At the same time, students studying in the university will have to take compulsory education of computer and English along with Sanskrit. Along with this, the art of every acting will also be taught.

Under the new education policy, the Vidya Parishad has unanimously approved computer and English as subjects. Studying both these subjects has been made compulsory.
Govinda’s brother had given ‘Film Appreciation Course’ proposal
A ‘Film Appreciation Course’ based on acting, drama and writing will be started in the university. It has been approved in today’s council meeting. It was told that the proposal of this course was given by director, producer, choreographer and writer Dr. Kirti Kumar Ahuja, elder brother of famous film actor Govinda. There will be purity of Sanskrit language, quality of pronunciation, protection of our culture etc. in film making. This course will be conducted under literary culture. Through this course, staying in Varanasi, students will be made skilled in acting along with employment-oriented education.
Will get D.Litt and Mahamahopadhyay title in convocation
In the meeting, the Vidya Parishad has authorized the Vice-Chancellor to select the honorary degree D.Litt and the name of Mahamahopadhyay. The 40th convocation of the university is to be held on December 26. In this convocation, distinguished people of the country will be given the title of D. Litt and Mahamahopadhyay. The Vice Chancellor will announce their names soon.
