In Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, the district hospital in Moradabad was stirred up when a murder accused Rajkumar alias Raju escaped with his handcuffed. At that time, the prince had only one home guard present. A soldier went to eat food. Applying the home guard to his talk, the prince took his hand out of handcuffs and escaped from the district hospital after getting a chance. The hawthorn police had filed a dowry murder case against Rajkumar.
According to the information, the prince was originally from Ishwarpura village of Gajraula police station area of Amroha district. He was staying with his wife Nidhi for the last two months in the in-laws house in Bangla village of Nagfni police station area. On the evening of April 1, Raju strangled and murdered his wife Nidhi and pretended to hang herself. After which he was admitted to the district hospital.
Police filed a case for dowry killing of Nidhi’s father Tahrir
The dowry murder case was registered against Raju by the hawthorn police on the Tahrir of Sandeep Kumar, the father of the deceased Nidhi. Nagfni police could not interrogate Raju due to being busy in counting of votes on Sunday. Meanwhile, in the post-mortem of Nidhi on Sunday, the cause of his death was said to be due to strangulation with a thin wire or rope.
The murder accused was undergoing treatment in the district hospital
The murder accused Raju was undergoing treatment at the district hospital in the custody of the hawthorn police in connection with the murder of his wife. He was admitted to bed number 23 of the surgical ward on the first floor of the district hospital. The duty of Homeguard Kalwa and a soldier was put on to supervise Raju. In the afternoon the soldier went to have dinner while Kalwa was present with Raju. During this, Raju engaged Kalwa in his talks and escaped as soon as he got a chance by taking out handcuffs from his hand.

After Nidhi was murdered by her husband Rajkumar, her in-laws had sued the police station Nagphani for dowry demands, torture and murder. The accused himself also attempted suicide. Which was admitted by the people of Mohalla to the District Hospital Moradabad for treatment. Police station Nagphani filed a case against the accused under Section 498A / 304B and 3/4 Dowry Act.
