People came to know about the foul smell
The incident took place near Ramu Barf Factory situated on Orai Road under Konch Kotwali area. A drain is being constructed nearby, behind which a dead body was found lying in a water filled plot. This was known when foul smell started coming from there, as soon as people from nearby areas reached there, they saw the dead body floating in the water. People got terrified. They immediately informed the police.
After getting the information, Deputy Inspector Vipin Dubey posted in Konch Kotwali reached the spot with the police team. They took the body out of the water. When the body was taken out, it had completely swollen in the water. Not only this, insects had eaten his head, from the way the body was taken out, it is being estimated that this body is four-five days old.

The police tried to identify him. After a long time, he was identified as Dharamveer resident of Jawahar Nagar Konch. The family was informed about this. The family reached the spot. It was told that Dharamveer was addicted to alcohol and used to roam around here and there after drinking alcohol. At present, the police has taken the body of the deceased into custody and sent it for postmortem. They are also investigating the case.
