The newly married woman hanged herself on Wednesday night in Shyamgarhi village of Iglas police station area of Aligarh. On getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem. At the same time, the father of the deceased has alleged that the in-laws have killed his daughter. On the day after marriage, he used to demand a four wheeler and used to torture his daughter. But due to poor financial condition, he was not able to fulfill the demand of the daughter-in-law’s in-laws. Due to which her in-laws have killed her daughter. On the complaint of the victim’s father, the police has started investigation into the matter.

Renu, the daughter of Siyaram, resident of Bailoth village of Iglas police station area, was married on 8 May 2021 to Ravinder, son of Rajpal of Shyamgarhi. The father told that he had spent 12 lakh rupees in the marriage and had donated dowry according to his full capacity. But after a few months, the in-laws started demanding a four wheeler and used to beat and torture her daughter every day for this. After which now he has killed his daughter.

Victim’s father Siyaram told that the in-laws did not inform about the death of his daughter. He got a call from other people of the village, after which he reached his daughter’s in-laws’ house. Here his daughter’s body was lying on the ground. After which the victim’s father has given a complaint to the police against the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law. At the same time, the police has started investigating the matter after receiving Tahrir.
CO Iglas Ashok Kumar said that the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. With this the exact cause of death will be clear. At the same time, legal proceedings have been started on the complaint of the victim’s father and the matter is being investigated. He said that based on the investigation, a case would be registered and further action would be initiated.
