Commissioner Raj Shekhar inspecting the visitors gallery of Green Park
Many memories and heritage related to cricket have been kept in the Lord’s Cricket Ground, which is called the Mecca of Cricket. On the same lines, a gallery is also being prepared in Green Park, Kanpur. Kanpur Divisional Commissioner Raj Shekhar arrived on Wednesday to inspect this gallery. He told that the museum which has been prepared at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur has been done under the Smart City project. It depicts the 70-year history of the stadium. Also memorabilia including the development of the Green Park and the matches played there, gallery of memorabilia photographs, textbooks, trophies and cricket equipment used by different players have been kept. Sign bats and jerseys of players playing specially in IPL matches have also been showcased here. It has been prepared under the Kanpur Smart City project.

The commissioner gave orders to complete the work soon.
In the inspection conducted on Wednesday, Raj Shekhar gave many important instructions. Giving instructions, he said, he has given instructions to make some changes in the audio and video room. Also asked to expedite the work of Cricket Cafe. Detailing about Sovereign Shop and Guest Restaurant, he said, it will be completed by January 31. Apart from that he also asked the CEO of Smart City to prepare the draft in 15 days for successful operation through outsourcing to the visitor gallery. So that within the next two months this gallery can be opened to the public today.
