Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated as National Youth Day under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor Kalpalata Pandey at Hazari Prasad Dwivedi Academic Building of Jannayak Chandrasekhar University. The Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the program by garlanding and offering flowers on the pictures of Swami Vivekananda, Saraswati, Jannayak Chandrashekhar.
Presiding over the programme, Director Academic Dr. Pushpa Mishra discussed in detail the personality and works of Swami Vivekananda while wishing everyone a Happy National Youth Day. Referring to Vivekananda’s Chicago speech, he told that the superiority of Indian culture was established in the whole world. Swami ji propagated the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta all over the world by imbibing the spiritual experiences of his Guru Ramakrishna Paramhansa.
On this occasion, Dr. Priyanka Singh recalled the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and talked about following his footsteps. Dr. Pramod Shankar Pandey while talking about the eternality of Indian culture said that Vivekananda explained it according to modern contexts. Swami ji said that feeding a hungry man is a bigger task than worshiping in a temple. All the cultures of the world are indebted to India. Sanatan culture is the oldest and mother of all cultures. Calling upon the youth, you said that success can be achieved only by following Swami ji’s idea of ’get up, wake up and don’t stop before the goal’. Throwing light on the education philosophy of Swami Vivekananda, Dr. Ramsharan said that education is the complete development of the inherent qualities of a person.
