The results of the relationship in the Panchayat elections in Hathras district of UP, in the house of Ravveer Upadhyay, a former MLA and former Energy Minister, have also come to light. Here, Jethani defeated Deorani in the prestigious election of a member of the District Panchayat of Ward No. 14.
In fact, former minister Ramvir Upadhyay is dominating Ward 14, which is considered a hot seat in the election for the post of District Panchayat member. The strategy of other candidates was left ahead of Ramvir Upadhyay’s management. Ramvir’s wife, former MP Seema Upadhyay, won the election by securing 12022 votes. She has defeated runner-up Kshama Sharma, who received 5394 votes, by 6628 votes. Seema Upadhyay’s Deorani BJP-backed Ritu Upadhyay is at number four with 2309 votes.
According to the information, former BJP leader Dr. Avin Sharma on ward number 14 wanted to contest elections for his wife Kshama Sharma. His ticket was believed to be confirmed, but former MLC Mukul Upadhyay, Ramvir’s sibling brother, hit his entry at the last moment and managed to get his wife Ritu Upadhyay a ticket.
Election became a political arena due to family dispute
Meanwhile, former minister Ramvir Upadhyay wanted to field Kalpana Upadhyay, the wife of fourth-ranked brother Rameshwar Upadhyay, but Mukul’s footsteps shocked his strategy. Dr. Avin Sharma could not tolerate this reshuffle and he decided to field his wife from the same ward as an independent.
At the same time, Ramvir also announced his wife Fatehpur Sikri’s former MP Seema Upadhyay to fight independents from Ward 14, bringing political clout. Since then, Ward 14 became a hot seat. Due to this, Dr. Avin Sharma and Ramveer’s son Chirag Upadhyay were expelled from the BJP on the eve of the election.
