Similarly, Hyderabad fare which was usually Rs 6,000 has now increased to Rs 21,000. The return fare from Mumbai has increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 17,800 and the normal fare from Delhi has increased from Rs 5,000-6,000 to Rs 18,000.

Festive demand increased the speed of flights, fares are increasing every day According to Shiv Mishra, tour planner of Hope Fun, this time the demand for flight tickets around Diwali is much more than last year. Most of the people are planning to reach home by flight a day or two before Diwali, so that they can save time in travelling. Due to this, a rise in flight fares is being seen every day.

Preparation of new routes amid increasing passengers According to RK Parashar, Director of Gorakhpur Airport, at present the airport is handling 2,000 to 2,200 passengers every day. The number of passengers at the airport has increased significantly in the last few years. The administration has planned to start air services for other cities also, so that passengers can get more convenience in commuting.

This time everyone is excited to return home on Diwali, but the flight fare has made this journey of migrants expensive and challenging.
