For years he continued to perform in Ram Baraat. After that different bands were formed. Then they also started performing in Ram Baraat.”

He said, “Sudhir Band was formed in 1982. Since then Sudhir Band has also been performing in Har Ram Baraat. There has been a big change in the bands since that time. At that time there were only 10 to 12 people. Now 100 artists will perform in his band. All such bands try to innovate from their side. Presently 12 bands from the city perform in Ram Baaraat.

Preparation from 2 months in advance, do not take any fees
In Ram Baraat all the bands start preparing for their performance from 2 months in advance. 70% of the instrument players in these bands belong to the Muslim community. Rikki Sharma of Sudhir Band said, “Ram Baraat attracts people from adjoining districts of Agra. In such a situation, every band operator wants to recite new tunes and new bhajans. Every day the artists practice for about 5 hours. No fee is charged by the band operator for performing in Ram Baraat. It is a matter of faith and tradition. So everyone automatically gets excited about this event.”

Every request of the devotees who come to the procession will be fulfilled. He has composed many bhajans including ‘Ram ji ki nikli ride’. He says that there is no Hindu-Muslim thing. Music unites everyone. His father and grandfather have also been playing bands in Ram procession. They also do this work. are.”

Abdul Qadir, 24, plays the satram in the band. He learned this art from his father Najakat Ali. People are crazy to hear the jugalbandi of this father-son duo. Abdul told that he has been working in the band for seven years. Ram has been performing in Baraat ever since he joined the band. When he was young, he used to come with his father.

They felt good then. He is excited to play the satram in Ram Baraat. He says that it should not be seen by linking it with Hindu-Muslim. These are religious events. He is an artist and art is not bound by any religion or caste.

Artists come from Moradabad, Rampur to Meerut
Apart from Agra, the artists performing in Ram Barat have also come from Meerut, Bijnor, Farrukhabad, Shamli, Rampur, Bareilly and Moradabad districts. Master Sartaj, Master Salim, Iqbal, Sharik, Shakeel, Nadeem and Appu are also preparing for the Ram procession.
