The villagers made the two officials sit on the ground and told them their story. They demanded that the high tension line be removed. They asked the officials to start the work of removing the line from tomorrow itself. Meanwhile, the police sent the body for postmortem.

40-year-old Rakesh, a resident of Mundhakheda village of Naugawan Sadat police station area, had come to his aunt’s village Hasanpur Kachiya in Amroha Dehat police station area today i.e. Thursday with his wife Urmila. Actually, his aunt Swarupiya had died thirteen days ago. Today there was a program of her thirteenth day in the village. Relatives and acquaintances had come to attend the program. Rakesh had also come to attend the thirteenth day ceremony with his wife Urmila.

The accident happened while walking on the roof of the house

After having lunch at around 12:30 in the afternoon, Rakesh went to the roof of his aunt’s house and got electrocuted. The wires of the high tension line were passing above the roof. As soon as he got electrocuted, Rakesh fell unconscious on the ground. A crowd of people gathered in a short while. The family took Rakesh Singh to a private hospital. Here the doctors declared him dead. The family started creating a ruckus by accusing the officers and employees of the electricity department of negligence.

CO Abhishek Singh and SHO Prempal Singh reached the spot. The villagers demanded that the electricity department officials be called to the spot. On the call of the police officials, SDO Rishabh Gupta and JE Sachin Gupta reached the village at 4 pm. On seeing the two electricity officials, the villagers started creating a ruckus and accused them of negligence.

During this, when both the electricity officers started sitting on the chairs, the villagers started creating a ruckus. After this, the SDO and JE were made to sit on the ground. While, police personnel and villagers were sitting on chairs all around. During this, the villagers also expressed their displeasure over the electricity incidents that had happened earlier in the village.

The villagers asked why the electricity department is not removing the high tension line despite being told several times. The officers and employees of the electricity department are responsible for the incidents happening in the village. During this, the SDO told the villagers to start the process of removing the electricity wires in the village from tomorrow i.e. Friday. Meanwhile, CO Abhishek Yadav said that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
