According to the survey of IGSS (a group of friends) working on tour and travel, this time in November, companies and agencies working in the field of tour and travel are completely busy. Maximum 35% people chose Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. After this people turned towards states like Jammu-Kashmir and Maharashtra.
40% jump in demand for tour travel Anil Kumar, who has been associated with the travel business in Lucknow for 20 years, says that people have focused more on tour travel. I have a group of 200 travel agents with me, more than 2000 vehicles were booked this November. The highest demand was for convenient vehicles like Scorpio, Innova, and mini buses.
How did the trend of tour travel change? According to NGO IGSS, the priorities of passengers traveling in Lucknow are changing…
- Increasing demand for family packages: 60% of trips are with family.
- Group travel craze: 40% of passengers travel with friends or groups.
- Contribution of Financial Schemes: EMI and discount packages benefited travel agencies.
- Religious Tourism: Religious places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Vaishno Devi were the most popular.
- Adventure Tourism: Youth turned to Uttarakhand and Himachal to experience hiking and snowfall.
- Wedding Ceremony: There are many weddings in the auspicious time of November, for which there is huge demand for travel services.
Local business got a boost The increase in tour travel gave a tremendous boost to Lucknow’s travel business. According to estimated figures, business worth around Rs 15 crore was done this month. Travel businessman Anil Kumar says that the demand for vehicles has broken all records in the month of November. More than 2000 vehicles were sent out of Lucknow.
Booking doubles in November Anil says, โPlanning a trip in winter has now become a trend. From religious places to wedding ceremonies, everyone is getting their vehicles booked. November is our busiest month.โ
According to the IGSS report, people go out to celebrate December 25 and New Year. Bookings are coming for Goa, Rajasthan and Kashmir. Tour and travels company is also offering packages.
