Nagar Panchayat President Raghav Mishra said that for the first time, a large scale drain cleaning campaign is being run. In this, work is being done to remove the silt accumulated at the bottom of the drains. More than a hundred cleaning workers, JCB, sewer section machines and many tractors have been deployed in it. For the first time, cleaning has been done till the bottom of the culvert near the Durga temple on Auraiya Road.
The damaged pumps of the Nagar Panchayat were repaired
To further improve the drainage system of the city, preparations are being made to clean the about 70 feet long siphon built under Mangalpur Rajwaha near GAIL Vihar for the first time in coordination with GAIL officials. He said that to deal with the problem of water logging, the damaged pumps of Nagar Panchayat have been repaired. New pumps have also been purchased.
