In Bareilly, applications are being invited for the grant of marriages completed in the financial year 2021-22 and financial year 2022-23 to eligible persons with disabilities under the marriage-marriage incentive award scheme for Divyangjan, run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. For the benefit of this scheme, it is necessary for Divyangjan to have minimum 40 percent disability.

Under the Divyangjan Marriage-Marriage Incentive Award Scheme, a grant of Rs 15,000 in case of the bridegroom being handicapped, Rs 20 thousand in case of the bride being handicapped and Rs 35 thousand in the case of both the bride and groom being handicapped is fixed.

During this, the officers told that for marriage, the age of the bridegroom should be between 21 to 45 years and the age of the bride should be from 18 to 45 years. The couple should not be in the income tax payer category under any circumstances. Online registration of marriage for marriage of Divyangjan, photocopy of joint bank account of couple, marriage card, joint photo of couple, Aadhar card of couple, age certificate of bride and groom (high school marks certificate, voter ID, Aadhar, PAN card) caste certificate of the applicant, income certificate issued by the tehsil of the applicant, disability certificate of bride and groom, etc., it is necessary to fulfill the eligibility conditions.

Only online applications will be accepted under this scheme. You can apply online divyangjan.upsdc.gov.in till 30 June. After applying online, the application along with the print out form can be submitted in the office of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Room No. 4 of Vikas Bhawan.
