UP’s Barbanki police arrested seven people with drugs worth Rs 7 crore.
The Barabanki police of Uttar Pradesh have exposed the smuggling interstate gang by bringing crude from Manipur and refining it with chemical and making morphine. These gangs used to supply huge amounts of Marfine in Haryana, Delhi, Western UP and Sonbhadra district. Two kilograms of 525 grams of morphine have been recovered from the seven smugglers caught. The cost of caught morphine is around seven and a half crores. Also, two cars and two bikes being used in smuggling have also been recovered by the police. Superintendent of Police of Barabanki Yamuna Prasad said that on the information received on the morning of April 6, Zaidpur Inspector Dharmendra Singh Raghuvanshi along with the team arrested the accused from the canal bridge in Chandauli village. Police recovered two kilograms of 525 grams of morphine from these accused riding two cars and two bikes.
Used to supply drugs in many states
During interrogation, the smugglers told that they used to bring crude from the state of Manipur and made marfine and also supplied a large amount through their career to places like Haryana, Delhi, Western UP and Sonbhadra. Not only this, Rajdhin was supplied by car in Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gonda and nearby districts.
The village Tikra Usma, who used to come for taking Marfine, used to supply him by changing the place and time outside the village by bike. The arrested accused have been sent to jail from the court.
