Preparations are going on war footing to make the eighth Deepotsav grand in Ramnagari Ayodhya. From cleaning and painting of Ram Pauri to other decoration work is going on. Work is underway on two separate projects worth Rs 24 crore each on the ghats of Ram Pauri and Saryu rivers.

Vinay Kumar Jain, project manager of UPPCL, the executing agency of the project, says that December 2024 is the deadline to complete this project. Keeping the festival of lights in mind, the work was completed by increasing the speed.

Another project of the scheme of beautification of the ghats of Saryu river is also underway, under which the related work is under construction, but in view of the festival of lights, it has become a compulsion to stop the construction work incomplete. The works related to the project include construction of chhatris from Rajghat to Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat, decoration of red stones on the stairs of the ghat and renovation of the platform besides construction of mural painting. Apart from this, there is a seating arrangement for the pilgrim priest at the place of cow worship on the ghats. June to complete the construction works related to this project. The time is set till 2025.

The project manager of UPPCL says that all the construction works are going on simultaneously but for the preparations for Diwali, the construction materials will be removed by 22nd October. He said that the cladding of stones got delayed due to flood water rising on the stairs of the ghats. At present, the construction work has been organized around the main venue.

Besides, a foundation has been constructed on the ghats on which fancy light poles will be installed from Sunday night. On the other hand, green grass has been planted for landscaping in the middle of the path leading to the ghat after the visitors gallery and gardening is also being done at the place adjacent to the pathway between the visitors gallery and the triangular selfie point, in which there are lush green trees. -Plants and flowers and leaves are being planted.
