The NCB has clarified the allegations made by Kshitij Ravi Prasad’s lawyer Satish Manshinde. The NCB has issued a press release considering the seriousness of the matter. In which it has been said that this is maliciously said to be extremely wrong.
The Mumbai unit of Narcotics has legally arrested Kshitij Ravi Prasad only after the quantity of drugs recovered from his house. Along with this, his lawyer and family (his mother) were also legally told. NCB made it clear that we had allowed his wife and father-in-law to meet as well.
Narcotics has also stated in its clarification that Horizon was not cooperating in the investigation, the information of which was also brought to the notice of the court concerned. Based on this, we took his police remand after medical checkup.
Sathish had made allegations against NCB
Kshitij’s lawyer arrested in the Bollywood drug case made serious allegations against NCB. In which Satish said that Narcotics officials pressured Kshitij to make a false statement, so that he could include the names of celebrities like Karan Johar, Somen Mishra, Rakhi, Apoorva, Neeraj, Rahil, in the statement.
When Kshitij refused, Sameer Wankhede said that he would teach him a lesson and made him sit on the floor next to his chair and put his shoe on his face. Satish had also alleged that nothing was recovered from Kshitij’s house, but the police have shown the cigarette butt as a panache joint. The discussion of which ranged from all the media houses to social media.
Horizon did not mention torture in court
When he was again brought before the court after police custody, the court also did not take any such bad behavior into notice. It is clear that Horizon was not given any physical torture in NCB custody.
Not only this, Kshitij himself did not mention any such misconduct. The NCB has described the media reports as completely factless and baseless. The Department of Narcotics said that this is beyond the truth.
NCB has given its explanation but in this high profile case of Bollywood, further such allegations and counter-allegations will continue. In such a situation, the Narcotics Department will also have to avoid the mistakes made by the Mumbai Police.
