The price of tomatoes has increased from Rs 40 per kg to Rs 70.

In the last week of June, the weather changed and rain knocked on the door. Last week, heavy rains intermittently brought relief from the heat as the temperature dropped. At the same time, people also had to deal with the problem of waterlogging. Due to the rain, the fields also got flooded and its effect is visible on the production of crops.

The supply of vegetables from the district to the market has reduced. Tomatoes are coming from Bangalore and Shimla, due to which their prices have increased from Rs 40 per kg to Rs 70 per kg. The prices of bottle gourd, cucumber and ridge gourd which were sold at Rs 40 per kg last month are now being sold at Rs 50 per kg, up 20 percent. The price of onion is also making people cry, the price of onion has increased from Rs 40 per kg to Rs 50 per kg.

Due to rain, the production of crops is getting less
Vegetable seller Kishore Kumar said that due to rain, crop production is decreasing, due to which the arrival of vegetables in the market has decreased. The prices of vegetables are expected to increase further in the coming days.
