This rain is a disaster for agriculture and farming The monsoon rains returning in September are now becoming a problem for the farmers. At this time, paddy crops are flowering in the fields in western Uttar Pradesh. Due to rain and wind, the flowers are falling and the crop is falling due to being heavy. There is a possibility of a decrease in the production of paddy crop. More than normal rain has already occurred in the month of September. The weather changed late on Tuesday night and it drizzled throughout the day from Wednesday morning till evening. Due to bad weather, waterlogging remained on the roads. Agricultural scientists Dr. RS Sengar and Arun said that more than normal rain has brought trouble for the farmers. This rain can have a bad effect on standing crops sown in summer such as paddy, cotton, soybean, maize and pulses. These crops start getting harvested by mid-September. Food inflation can increase due to crop damage. However, this will keep the moisture in the soil high and as a result, there will be a delay in the crops sown in the winter season, which will also lead to a decrease in the production of the upcoming crops. It was told that due to excessive moisture the quality of fruit and vegetable crops can be affected.
