Police say the matter is suspicious. Still being investigated.
In village Kaundh under the police station Pidhaura area in Agra, thieves broke the lock of the room of a house and took away the jewelery and cash box. The woman sleeping outside the house could not even get a clue of the theft. The police, who reached the information in the morning, started investigating the matter.
Under the police station Pidhaura area, unknown thieves somehow entered the house of Vikram Singh son of Ramsanehi, resident of village Kaundh, late on Monday night. The thieves broke the lock of the room of the house and took away the jewelery and cash box kept in it. Vikram’s wife Margsree, who was sleeping outside the house, could not even get a clue of the theft. In the morning, when Margshri and the family saw the lock of the room of the house broken, the jewelery and cash box had been stolen. According to the family members, 50 thousand rupees were kept in the box including gold and silver ornaments. Immediately the local police were informed.
Police Station Pidhaura Prabhu Dayal Singh said that an empty chest was found near the Utangan river at some distance from the village itself. Police is probing the whole matter thoroughly. According to Circle Officer Pinahat Saurabh Singh, the matter of theft has come to notice. Prima facie the matter is suspicious. Police is investigating the whole matter.
