These ‘Special Edition’ iPhone 15 Pro Models Cost Over 6 Lakh: Here’s Why – News18

Caviar has launched new special edition iPhone 15 models.

Caviar has unveiled a collection of five new special editions for the iPhone 15 Pro, known as the ‘Rich Colours’. These models, available in Ultra Black, Dark Red, Starry Night, Ultra Gold, and Titan Black, start at Rs 6 lakh.

Apple’s iPhone 15 series is set to go on sale on September 22 later this month, and while the new models are already expensive and can take a toll on anyone’s wallet, Caviar is trying to up the ante by launching new ‘special edition’ iPhone 15 Pro units, which cost more than Rs 6 lakh.

These special edition models are primarily focused on aesthetics and do not impact functionality. To achieve their unique aesthetic, Caviar has made these special editions with materials such as gold, aviation-grade titanium, and carbon composite.

In total, Caviar has introduced five new special edition phones in the ‘Rich Colours’ collection, which includes Ultra Black, Dark Red, Starry Night, Ultra Gold, and Titan Black.

For those unfamiliar with Caviar, it is a Dubai-based brand known for crafting custom phones using luxury materials, often at exorbitant prices.

The iPhone 15 Ultra Gold variant by Caviar is priced at an outrageous $8890 (approximately Rs 7.3 lakhs) for the 128GB model and goes up to $9890 for the 1TB model. The iPhone 15 Titan Black starts at $7410 (around Rs 6.1 lakh), the iPhone 15 Ultra Black starts at $8060 (approximately Rs 6.7 lakh), and the iPhone 15 Pro Starry Night and Dark Red models start at $7340 (about Rs 6 lakh).

Caviar notes that many Apple fans had hoped for a new red iPhone 15 this time, but since Apple did not release one, “Caviar has fixed the situation by making the custom deep red chassis of forged carbon in dark red colour taken from Lamborghini sports car production.” Moreover, in the black logo version, the Apple logo is made of black nacre.

Caviar also pointed out that Apple did not release a gold variant of the iPhone 15 Pro this time, which is why the Dubai-based brand is offering the iPhone 15 Ultra Gold with an 18K gold-covered chassis with satin finishing. “The Apple logo in the center is made of solid gold 24K. This is a highly premium device for the chosen ones—celebrities, sportsmen, politicians and other elite representatives,” Caviar said.

To provide some perspective, the standard iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max from Apple are priced at $999 and $1199, respectively. Therefore, Caviar’s custom options cater to individuals who seek the finest materials in their smartphones and value exclusivity. However, for the average consumer, the titanium offered by the standard models should be more than enough.
