In recent years, we have seen people pursuing engineering or management degrees from institutions apart from IITs and IIMs. They have been securing attractive job packages too. One such university, which stands out in the present time, is Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology. The university was founded in 1962. It was re-established as a Premier State Technical University in Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) in 2013. Since its establishment, the university has hosted fifty-five batches with transformative four-year educational experience.

The total fee for Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology is Rs 4,70,000. Hostel charges are also included in the fee. In the first year, students are required to pay Rs 1,34,000 which includes Rs 1,10,000 (college + hostel) + Rs 24,000 (mess fees). Following this, students will be liable to pay Rs 96,000 + 24,000 = Rs 1,20,000 annually in the second, third and fourth years respectively.
Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology has been in existence for over six decades. It offers a wide range of academic programs, including undergraduate, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in fields like Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Humanities. The college also offers Master’s programs in Computer Application (MCA) and Business Administration (MBA). The academic programs offered have now gained an autonomous status.
The university name gives an ode to the Indian politician and co-founder of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Madan Mohan Malaviya.
The university earned an A-grade accreditation from the prestigious National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2022. With this, it became the first state university in Uttar Pradesh to attain this recognition.
